Paul Pogba is at the heart of the new revelations of Mediapart as part of the “Football Leaks” survey. According to the documents analyzed by the online information site and the eleven other European media of the European Investigative Collaborations (EIC), the rights to the image of the player were successively hosted in Luxembourg and then in Jersey, two tax havens.
Ten million for Raiola during the four years at Juventus
The documents also reveal the extravagant commissions touched by the agent of the player, Mino Raiola, who received 10 M € from Juventus during the four years spent by Pogba in Turin. They also reveal the backdrop of the rivalry between Raiola and Oualid Tanazefti, Paul Pogba’s historical advisor.
As L’Equipe had already mentioned, Oualid Tanazefti has recovered the revenues from the rights to the image of Paul Pogba through a contract signed in 2014 via a company in Luxembourg. The investigation of Mediapart reveals the details of this contract, very advantageous for Tanazefti. Mino Raiola, who also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has since orchestrated the acquisition of rights to the image of Pogba and placed them in a company registered in Jersey, Aftermath Limited, according to documents published by Mediapart.
